How it works
From tape measure to trade. All in one place.
One job, start to finish. No training and nothing to install.
Step 1 ·Accurate to scale
Measure on site, type it in.
Click corner to corner and type the length you measured. Give a room its size, 4.20 × 3.60 m, and the walls move to fit. Try it on the room here.
Step 2 ·Made for builders
Start from a real house.
Victorian and Edwardian terraces, a garden flat and a 1930s semi are ready to change. Bay windows, chimney breasts and 9-inch brick walls come built in. Pick one to open it.
Step 3 ·In the cloud
Pick it up anywhere.
It works in your browser, on any computer. Every change saves as you go, and every version is kept if you need to go back.

They can look and print. They can't change anything.
Step 5 ·Works with AI
Ask for changes.
Connect Claude and ask for a door, a new wall or a rear extension. Or turn the plan into a 3D picture for your client in a click.

Why we made it
Made with a London builder. Tested on real jobs.
Floorplan started with one builder. He trained as an architect, runs building jobs in London, and needed plans he could draw himself: accurate, printed to scale and quick to change, without learning CAD. Every feature is tried on his jobs first.
Works on any computer
Windows or Mac, in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox. Nothing to install and nothing to update.
Private by default
Your plans open only with your own private link. Clients get a view-only link, and only if you make one.
Your work is safe
Every change is saved as you go and earlier versions are kept, so a mistake is never the end of a plan.
Questions
Before you start. Straight answers.
Is it really free?
Yes. Floorplan is free while it’s in early access, with no sign-up and no card details.
Does it work on Windows?
Yes. It runs in the browser on any computer, Windows or Mac. You need a mouse or trackpad to draw; plans can be looked at on a phone.
Can I use it for planning permission?
No. Floorplan is for pricing jobs, planning the work and briefing trades. Planning and building control drawings need an architect or technician.
How accurate is it?
As accurate as your measurements. You type lengths to the millimetre, and the PDF prints at a true 1:50 or 1:100 with a scale bar, so you can check it with a scale rule.
Can I trace an estate agent’s floor plan?
Yes. Add a photo or scan of it, set its scale from one length you know, and draw the walls over it.
Where are my plans kept?
Online, saved as you go. They open with your private plans link, so keep it like a key. See the privacy page for what’s stored and who can see it.
